It is looking like this year’s Ladbrokes Trophy race which is being run over at the Newbury racecourse on Saturday the 30th of November is going to be a very open affair, if the early betting markets are anything to go by, but there are some decent odds being touted on that race currently.
Keep in mind that being a Grade 3 National Hunt Chase that race is going to take some running, and there are plenty of horses that currently are entered in that race that do have a very reasonable chance of success.
As for the horses that are attracting the most early support, well I wouldn’t say the ante post betting markets are red hot and awash with cash, but many punters have been backing Santini at 7/1 so act now if you want to guarantee those odds as they may start to drop.
There are a couple of other horses that punters have been backing, but once again not with huge amounts of cash, and for reference they are the second and third favourites, those horses being Topofthegame at 10/1 and Lostintranslation at 14/1.
Maybe an Each-Way Bet is Called For
With such large odds attached to all runners scheduled to line up and take their respective chances on this race it may be advisable to back one or two horses each-way especially at bookies like Coral who are paying one quarter of the win odds to four places too.
You can of course back any horse or as many horses each-way as you like, but a couple of them that are available at decent odds and have a very fair chance of getting placed in the top four places are both Mister Malarky and Talkischeap who can be backed early right now at odds of 16/1.
Odds on the Other Runners
The odds are there for the taking on this year’s Ladbrokes Trophy Chase, and there is always a chance that horses such as Kildisart at 20/1 could play something of a leading part in that race this year.
You can of course back any horses you like and the next horses in the bettering are Delta Work, Give Me A Copper, Kapcorse, Kemboy, Le Breuil and Vinndication at 25/1, and there are plenty of each-way possibilities in that list for sure.
Moving onto the horses that are not attracting much if any support right now from punters, they are Beware the Bear, Cadmium, Dingo Dollar, Drovers Lane and Glen Rocco at 33/1 and then you have the current two rank outsiders, those being both Atlanta Ablaze and No Comment at 40/1
