Two NHL Conferences and Four NHL Leagues

The NHL is divided up into two Conferences those being Eastern and Western and there are four Divisions too. Below I will give you an insight into exact team playing in each Conference and each Division too.

Eastern Conference

Let me start off with looking at the teams playing in the Eastern Conference, which is divided up into two Divisions, the first of which is the Atlantic Division, and here are the teams that playing in that Division

Atlantic Division

Boston Bruins – The Boston Bruins are based in Boston, Massachusetts, with their area being called TD Garden which holds some 17,565 fans of the sport.

Buffalo Sabres – This team as you may have guessed from their name are based in Buffalo, New York with their arena being the KeyBank Center which has a capacity of some 19,070 people.

Detroit Red Wings – It is in Detroit, Michigan that the Detroit Red Wings are based, and their arena is the Little Caesars Arena which holds some 19,515 spectators.

Florida Panthers – You will find the Florida Panthers quite aptly are based on Sunrise, Florida and play all their home matches are the BB&T Center which odes hold a huge number of people that being some 19,250.

Montreal Canadiens – As for just where the Montreal Canadiens are based, well that is in Montreal Quebec and their home games are played at the Bell Centre which for reference has a capacity of some 21,302 people.

Toronto Maple Leafs – The final team that is playing in the Atlantic Division are the Toronto Maple Leafs who are based in Toronto, Ontario and they play their home matches at the Scotiabank Arena which has a capacity of 18,819.

Metropolitan Division

Carolina Hurricanes – The Carolina Hurricanes are in the Metropolitan Division and they are based over in Raleigh, North Carolina, as for where they play their home matches that is at the PNC Arena which has a capacity of 18,680.

Columbus Blue Jackets – Moving onto the Columbus Blue Jackets, they are of course based in Columbus, Ohio and their stadium is called the Nationwide Arena which can comfortably hold some 18,144 people in total.

New Jersey Devils – Another team that is in the Metropolitan Division  is of course the New Jersey Devils and it won’t surprise you to learn that they are based over in Newark, New Jersey and as for the name of their arena that is the Prudential Center which can hold 16,514 fans.

New York Islanders – As for just where the New York Islanders are based well that is of course in New York City, New York and they play their home matches at the Nassau Coliseum which doesn’t hold as many spectators as some other arenas for it has a capacity of just 15,795.

New York Rangers – The New York Rangers are yet another Metropolitan Division team that are based on New York City, New York and their arena is at Madison Square Garden and holds 18,006 spectators.

Philadelphia Flyers – The Philadelphia Flyers ate not too surprisingly based over in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and as for just where they play all their home matches, well that is at the huge Wells Fargo Center which can hold some 19,500 people.

Pittsburgh Penguins – It is the Pittsburgh Penguins that I will give you an insight into next, for they are based over in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and they play each of their home ice hockey matches at the PPG Paints Arena and the capacity of that arena is 18,387.

Washington Capitals – The final team that are in the Metropolitan Division  is the Washington Capitals and they are of course based over in Washington, D.C. they do of course also have their very own arena which is the Capital One Arena and when full to capacity that arena can hold some 18,506 people.

Western Conference

As for the structure of the Western Conference. Well it is comprised of two Divisions and for reference they are the Central Division and the Pacific Division, and below you will find full details of the teams that are playing in each of those two divisions.

Central Division

Chicago Blackhawks – As for the very first team that plays in the Central Division, well that team is the Chicago Blackhawks and it is in Chicago, Illinois that they are based. Their home arena is called the United Center and it is a large one compared to most others team’s arena as it can hold some 19,717 people in total.

Colorado Avalanche – The second team that are playing in the Central Division are the Colorado Avalanche and they are based in Denver, Colorado, their arena is of course a sponsored one and as such no prizes for guessing which company does sponsor it, and for reference it is called the Pepsi Center which does give you an indication of its sponsor and that arena can hold some 18,007 people too.

Dallas Stars – The next team that playing in the Central Division as the Dallas Stars and they are of course based over in Dallas, Texas, and the name of their arena which is another sponsored one is the American Airlines Center and it can hold when filled to its maximum capacity a total of some 18,532 fans of the sport.

Minnesota Wild – The Minnesota Wild are yet another Central Division team and they are based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and when it comes to them playing each of their home matches their home stadium is called the Xcel Energy Center which is a reasonably sized arena that can hold 17,954 people.

Nashville Predators – Another team that players in the Central Division  are the Nashville Predators and as their name does somewhat suggest they are based over in Nashville in the US State of Tennessee, their home arena is called the Bridgestone Arena and that arena has a capacity of some 17,113 fans of the sport too.

St. Louis Blues – Moving onto any team in the Central Division that team is the St. Louis Blues, and as for just where they are based, well that is of course in St. Louis, Missouri, and they do also have their very own arena of course which is called the Enterprise Center and that is a large arena for when it is full it holds a total of some 18,724 spectators.

Winnipeg Jets – There is just one other team that plays in the Central Division and that team is one that you are bound to have heard of or come across before, and that team is the Winnipeg Jets. They are as their name does so very clearly suggest based in Winnipeg, and they do have their own home arena and it is one that can hold when it is filled to capacity a total of some 15,321 fans.

Pacific Division

Anaheim Ducks – The very first team that I will be introducing you to that plays in the Pacific Division is the Anaheim Ducks, and they are located over in Anaheim, California and their home arena is known as the Honda Center and when it is full it can comfortably hold a total of 17,174 fans.

Arizona Coyotes – The Arizona Coyotes are in Glendale which is in the State of Arizona as too is their arena which is called the Gila River Arena and can hold a total of 17,125 people when it is full to capacity.

Calgary Flames – As for where the Calgary Flames are based and play each of their home matches well that is in Calgary, Alberta at the Scotiabank Saddledome which does hold a very large number of spectators due to its capacity being a whopping 19,289 people.

Edmonton Oilers – The Edmonton Oilers are based in Edmonton, which is in Alberta and their home matches are all played at their very own arena of course which is called Rogers Place which has a capacity of some 18,347.

Los Angeles Kings – You will find that the Los Angeles Kings play their home games and are based in Los Angeles, California, and their home area is Kwon as the Staples Center which can hold some 18,230 fans in total.
