Mid-July is when the Open Championship 2019 will be in play, and golf fans across the globe are going to be tuning in to watch that tournament, and plenty of them will be placing bets on some of the golfers that are taking part in it too.
Punters do however have a couple of options available to them on the early betting markets for the Open Championship this year, for outright betting opportunities are on offer, but those punters wishing to place a lower risk bet will certainly find some very appealing each-way betting terms, if they are prepared to shop around.
One quarter of the win odds are being offered to punters backing any player each-way and as a handful of bookies are paying out to a whopping five places in that major golf tournament, I am sure some of you out there will be tempted to place an each-way bet nice and early.
The one golfer that is attracting a fair old bit of support right now is Brooks Koepka, and with odds of 8/1 generally being offered on that golfer that does look a value packed bet for sure.
Rory McIlroy a Solid Each-Way Bet
Rory McIlroy will be taking part in the Open Championship this year, and with a huge number of fans he may just end up becoming the favourite once punters start betting en masse on that tournament.
As for what his odds currently are, well with a bit of hunting around you should be able to find plenty of bookies that are offering odds of around the 9/1 mark, and he does look rock-solid each-way bet at those odds if you can secure them right now.
Other Golfers with a Chance of Success
Looking at the current state of the futures betting market, this tournament does take after its name, for it is certainly an open one and one in which plenty of other golfers do appear to have a fair chance of success, and could easily find themselves finishing in the top few positions on the leader board.
Some other golfers that may be worth backing at their current odds, which by the way will start to drop quite noticeably in value if they do go on to play well are Dustin Johnson who is a current 12/1 shot, and there is a lot to be said of the chances of both Justin Rose and Tiger Woods who has certainly found his very best form recently, for they are both trading at odds of 14/1.
Both Francesco Molinari and Jordan Spieth are next in the betting, and it’s very fair and true to say that both of them who by the way are 16/1 shots, do have the skills and abilities of winning a golf tournament such as this one.
Then you have the likes of Rickie Fowler and Jon Rahm at 22/1 and a couple of other golfers that have been attracting a fair bit of each-way support from punters include Tommy Fleetwood and Xander Schauffele both easy to back at their current odds of 25/1.
